On a street filled with dive bars, Alberta's Alleyway Cafe and Bar doesn't offer anything new, but it is open fairly early (3 p.m.) compared to the rest of its neighbors. Located in an airplane-hanger-like round metal shed, the Alleryway boast a large summertime patio for Alberta's dog-walking denizens and chain smokers. The nachos are legitimate happy hour fare, and the drinks are cheap and strong. If the more popular Nest and The Know up the street aren't open yet, this is a good place to get your drink on.
