For those who love NE Alberta's Bye and Bye, the Sweet Hereafter can be thought of as Bye and Bye South. Both places have giant, delicious cocktails served in mason jars, a tasty, all-vegan menu and a kick-ass back patio.

Located on SE Belmont, Hereafter has already become a neighborhood favorite, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a place to sit down after 7 p.m. And for good reason, the drinks are stiff, the staff is friendly and the beautiful, hand-crafted wood patio provides shade in the summer and cover from the rain. Try the Hereafter, a mason jar filled with sweet tea, vodka and bourbon. Try three and plan to need assistance walking home from the bar.

Vegans will be thrilled about the menu, with nary a piece of meat or dairy to be had. For carnivores, its still worth a try; the soybean and mushroom burger, while nothing like a real burger, is still pretty damn tasty and comes with chips and salsa. If you have rugrats, they are welcome on the back patio before 9 p.m. for when mommy needs a cocktail.
